Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?
As part of the Delivery Team within Customer Impact, you will work on building our SaaS tool that allows companies to map climate and ESG data across their entire business to reduce carbon emissions, improve social and environmental performance, and create audit-ready reports to run the best sustainability programs. Sweep empowers companies to build resilience to global challenges with technology.
As a Junior Data Integration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers to streamline and automate their data collection process and facilitate their integration in Sweep. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain efficient data integration pipelines, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow from various sources into our software platform. By enabling reliable and consistent data collection, you will directly contribute to the computation of ESG metrics and support our customers in making informed sustainability decisions.
To be more specific, this includes:
1. Manage Data Integration 🌱
- Data Integration Process & Quality: Oversee and maintain the quality of the data integration process, ensuring accurate and effective data adaptation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, software developers, platform and sustainability experts, and other internal and external (implementation partners and customer IT teams), to gather requirements and understand business needs for data integration.
- Historical Data Integration: Integrate historical ESG data files from customers to ease their transition to the platform.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Develop and maintain rules for data mapping and transformation, ensuring seamless integration of customer data sources into the platform and setting up automated data collection.
- Data Source Evaluation & Integration: Identify and evaluate existing data sources for compatibility and feasibility, supporting the setup of APIs and other integrations.
2. Ensure Quality and Compliance ⚙️
- Data Profiling & Analysis: Perform data profiling and analysis to detect data quality issues and propose corrective actions.
- Data Integration Testing: Create and execute test plans to validate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of integrated data.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data integration issues, collaborating with technical teams to diagnose root causes and implement timely fixes.
- Process Monitoring & Optimisation: Continuously monitor data integration processes, identifying areas for performance optimisation and implementing tuning measures.
- Keeping up-to-date: Keep abreast of emerging data integration technologies, tools, and best practices, proposing innovative solutions to enhance processes.
3. Pursue Quality 🔍
- Documentation: Document data integration processes, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Testing Solutions: Collaborate with the team to test various data integration and qualification solutions.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc data analyses to identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.

Qualifications 🏆
- You have 1+ year of experience in data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data warehousing, Big Data-related initiatives, and working with data from diverse sources
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills and comfortable in working with large datasets
- Ability to navigate, wrangle and validate data from structured and unstructured data sources in R, Python, SQL, and Excel
- Familiarity with SAML, APIs, web services, and data formats (CSV, JSON, XML) commonly used in data exchange
- Experience with data cleansing, validation, and transformation techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Fluency in both French & English is mandatory

- Experience in the sustainability or carbon accounting field is a plus
- Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in using technology to address environmental challenges.
